Some dreams are meant to be broken?

Recently the day when IITJEE2012 results were announced, some lives, even distantly related to it, were affected. Some came up with flying colours and others, well, not so. The thing that totally amazes me is every single person with science as subject dreams to get in IITs and after that, IIMs. No, I am not talking hawa mein. If there exist some statistical data, I am pretty sure it would show that more than 60% of the toppers of 10th board opt for science and then more than 70% of these dream to get in these world recognized institutions IITs, IIMs, and then any job with a fancy 6-figure salary will do, no matter what it may be. Some make it through by putting their best efforts believing it’s for their own good as parents and teachers say. Believe you me, every parent and teacher says the same thing, every single Indian parent or teacher says the same damn thing. I can so well picturize even Sachin Tendulkar’s parents saying him the same thing decades ago “Cricket wricket toh zindagi bhar chalta rahega, abhi do saal hai, pad le mann laga ke”. But giving an example of legend is not fair. So generalization, some put all their efforts, get in IITs, making everyone proud, give some inspiration to the junior kids, becoming hot topic of debate among teachers and a gossip to share for pados wali aunty “Haan unka beta toh sona nikla, selection ho gaya uska, laga nahi tha mujhe ke ho jayega”. Then the same cycle, college, studying (I doubt if majority does that in college), job, fancy salary, marriage, kids, and pushing kids to become like them. And others are disheartened, all broken, because apparently their dream to get in IITs is broken. They too, become hot topic of debate among different variety of people and a gossip to share for pados wali aunty “Nahi hua uska toh, mujhe laga tha intelligent hai, but aaj kal kiska kya pata chalta hai”. Suicide cases may be rare but they exist. Haha, and there are people who have no interest in Physics, Chemistry, Math at all and they cannot stop claiming that it was their dream to get in IITs. Sometimes, when I see some people, I cannot help but think that whoa it did them such good that their so-called-dreams are broken. I cannot help but feel that maybe this will make them realize that they are not meant to be the person they are trying so hard to be. This failure is not a failure but a cue that you are maybe travelling in the wrong direction just to follow someone. Maybe you are meant to do something totally different from what you are trying to do. All you need to do is keep your mind open, being spontaneous and positive that maybe whatever happens, happens for a good reason. You just need to find ‘that good reason’ behind whatever fucked up thing happens (or whatever fucked up thing you think had happened). Some dreams are maybe meant to be broken to actually be somewhere you never even dreamt of.
P.S. Just some amateur views and things which hopped in my mind, typed in quick 15. but it took 4 times that time to post this thing on blogger :P I mean wtf is wrong with width thing on this new template thing, and i thought screw it, i might even add a random picture :P
